　　The maintenance of mini concrete pump trucks entail regular or impromptu checking of connecting pins and bins, sealing devices, booms, supporting legs, bases etc. Specifically speaking, you should follow the steps as below.

　　First, check whether any of the gaps between connecting pin shafts is too large to avoid cracking at the joint. Second, check whether there are traces of cracking in the boom support, and whether the reverse support and reverse gears are integrated. Third, have a regular check of the connecting bolts, set screws, nuts and pins. In case of looseness you should tighten them as the instruction manual says. Fourth, check whether the connecting flanges of the front and rear axles of the chassis are loose. Do the same with flanges of the transfer case. Fifth, make sure that the sealing devices of a mini concrete pump truck are stable enough. Sixth, Bolts of the reverse support withstand great alternating load which causes the loss of tightening torque after hours of operation. Therefore, it’s necessary to rest the boom on the bracket and check the tightening torque. The reverse axial force can be eliminated effectively in this way. The tightening torque of a new mini concrete pump truck should be checked after the first 100 working hours and every 500 hours in the following period. Seventh, cracks may appear in the boom, outriggers or base support components resulting from partial stress concentration, rusting and overloading of some parts owing to variable load bearing of these parts. You should inspect this every 300 hours.Eighth, the boom must be folded and kept in straight while you tighten the bolts and nuts. It’s worth mentioning that damaged or used connecting bolts can not be reused.

　　Most problems mentioned above, including cracks, are solvable. The key lies in early notice and solving of the problems.All pressure withstanding components, like the boom and outriggers, are made of high strength steel which is not suitable for punching, welding or modifying. Otherwise the service life of a mini concrete pump truck may be shortened. More seriously, there might be safety problems in the future.
