How to Operate Concrete Pump Trucks Safely
Concrete pump trucks are an irreplaceable engineering machine in modern construction. Its working principle is similar to that of a trailer concrete pump: to send concrete along the pipe onto the working face by continuous pressure. In spite of the convenience they bring to us, the trucks can be very dangerous in case of inappropriate operation. Then how to operate concrete pump trucks safely?
Before getting close to a concrete pump truck, you must first wear a safety helmet. Before starting the truck, do make sure that its supporting legs are stably fixed into the ground. Pay special attention to the stretching area of the supporting legs during freeing or retreating them, for the whole area is within the dangerous scope and you must take care not to injure people. The legs must stretch fully and properly. All legs have a fixed stretching degree at which they will have the best supporting performance. Otherwise there is a danger that they may break. The legs should be stretched until they get in line with arrow directions. In case of unusual problems such as rain, oil leakage of the front leg tank and other possible elements that may cause instability of the supporting legs, you should retreat the cantilever immediately and solve the problems first before stretching the legs again. In addition, the tire of a concrete pump truck should be about five centimeters over the ground so that the engine system of the truck will not be damaged owing to impact from swing of the S pipe.
